John Carpenter: Video Highlight

John Carpenter fell in love with Elvis at the age of 4. Following a visit to see martin Fontaine’s show ‘Elvis Story,’ he told his father “that’s what I want to do.” Ever since, John has worked on learning Elvis’ songs, moves and gestures. His dedication to practice has proven fruitful as he has both won and achieved a finalist position in many ETA competitions in Quebec, Ontario and the United States.

His awards include 1st place at the Drummondville Retro Festival (2014), the Quebec convention (2017), the Quebec ETA contest in Levis (2017), the St-George de Beauce ETA contest (2018) and most recently, the Flaming Star Festival in Toronto (2022). In addition, he placed 2nd at the Last Chance competition in Memphis (2018) and the Joanna Johnson competition in Ville Lasalle (2019) as well as having placed 4th in the professional Early Years category at the Lake George Elvis Festival (2017 & 2018).
