Marco Girgenti - Composer of Amore E
Whether arranging for an 80-voice choir, full orchestra, an East Indian percussion ensemble, kids record or a 4 piece R&B outfit, Marco’s experience has allowed for a diverse artist to emerge.

Smith, Reba McEntire, Josh Groban, Amy Grant, Faith Hill, Garth Brooks, DC Talk and more. Along the way, Marco produced and co-wrote music for what became known as b4-4, a pop trio signed to Sony Music (currently known as RyanDan) and became the most decorated composer in synchronized skating music, even lending his talents to the Winter Olympics, editing for skating legend Elvis Stojko.
His music has been described as “epic” by Mark Masri (international recording artist/David Foster/The Tenors, Olivia Newton John etc…) and “deeply passionate and moving” by world renowned film composer “il Maestro” – Ennio Morricone (The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, the Hateful 8 and over 500 other film scores).
His latest single, Amore É, sung by Mark Masri picked up immediate airplay on Italo-Canadian radio and was picked up, along with another piece for any upcoming series by celebrity chef – David Rocco.
He was active as a music director in several churches in the Toronto area and has been worship producer for events at others in North America and abroad. Marco has been a guest on the nationally aired 100 Huntley Street on several occasions and collaborated with artists internationally from The USA to Germany.
As an actor, Marco has appeared as lead actor in TV series and feature films.
Born in Italy, when Marco moved abroad with his family he did not know how to speak English. It was a difficult time for a boy of 6.
“I found an anchor through those rough waters, in music. I remember going to the local Sears store with my mom, when they used to hang posters in a steel frame that you could flip through on the wall. When we flipped to a poster of Elvis Presley in a diamond studded suit, I remembered seeing him in a black and white broadcast in Italy wearing the same suit! I thought about how shiny that suit was and his cool hair, and that people loved what he was doing – clapping and dancing along with him, and there was my anchor. Me in a new land, but there was a person I recognized!”
“Soon after that, I got my first Elvis album. It was a double LP I just remember his name in big yellow letters was a beautiful blue background and him singing his heart out in the same diamond studded suit.”
“Elvis Presley was the first reason I stepped on stage where I simultaneously let my joy and my frustrations out all at once in a grade 5 talent show where I air-banded Hard Headed Woman, ‘playing’ a badminton racket as a guitar.”
“The place went nuts! I remember it like it was yesterday.”
“After that, I kept buying Elvis records and owned every Beatles album as well – the catalyst for which was that I had seen a photo of John Lennon wearing a jacket with the name ‘Elvis’ on it. I thought, – ‘If someone from the Beatles likes Elvis, then the Beatles must be cool!’ ”
